Stacey Browning

Executive Assistant

A Business Education graduate of Dobbins Area Vocational Technical School located in Philadelphia, PA, Stacey shortly thereafter enrolled and completed training at the Washington School for Professional Secretaries located in Washington, D.C. That training lead to job offers from both the National Park Service (NPS), within the Department of Interior, as well as the General Service Administration. She accepted the offer from the National Park Service because, as one who enjoys the tranquility and beauty of nature, she fully supports the idea of protecting and preserving our land for the enjoyment of all future generations.

Stacey comes to us with a wealth of experience from her 25 years with the National Park Service (NPS). During her tenure with the NPS, she rose up the ladder from Personnel Clerk, Division Head Secretary, to Human Resources Specialist (Personnel Officer) at Valley Forge National Historical Park. She completed a range of training associated with Human Resources in the NPS culminating with her greatest achievement of graduating from The New Leader Program, an in-depth and innovative program to develop future leaders sponsored by the NPS.

In 2009, she promoted into a Human Resources Specialist position with the General Services Administration. However, for medical reasons, Stacey completed her career with the Federal government in 2010 and retired from the General Services Administration. In 2013, still having so much that she would like to contribute, she headed back out into the workforce searching for the opportunity to find that niche to continue to grow, develop, and support the ambitions of a future employer. Stacey is enthusiastically looking forward to working with the Cheyney Foundation toward the objective of advancing the University.

She was born and raised in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia and, as stated above, preferred the green lands and the cute little bunnies of the suburbs and moved her family to the Valley Forge area in July 2003; and, is currently a resident of the Borough of Phoenixville in Chester County. Stacey is an active member of her church community and is a team player who enjoys meeting new people and new challenges. She is the mother of three adult children and three grandchildren whom she enjoys immensely.
